In The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii, just like in previous games, you’ll need to upgrade your wallet in order to carry more rupees as the game progresses. The first wallet upgrade can be purchased with rupees, however in order to get the rest of the wallet upgrades, you’ll need to collect Gratitude Crystals to purchase them with.

Extra Wallet – Purchased from Beedle’s Airshop for 100 rupees, holds 300 rupees
Medium Wallet – Purchased from Batreaux’s House for 5 Gratitude Crystals, holds 500 rupees
Big Wallet – Purchased from Batreaux’s House for 30 Gratitude Crystals, holds 1000 rupees
Giant Wallet – Purchased from Batreaux’s House for 50 Gratitude Crystals, holds 5000 rupees
Tycoon Wallet – Purchased from Batreaux’s House for 80 Gratitude Crystals, holds 9000rupees
