Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle were the three starter pokemon in the original pokemon games, and while they aren’t starters in Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee and Pikachu, they are available to catch in both versions of the game.
They can be somewhat rare to spawn, so you might have to do a bit of work to find them, however this guide will get you looking in the right places.
Catching Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle in the Wild in Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee and Pikachu
The three original starters spawn in three different locations. They are also considered rare spawns, so to increase your chances of getting them to spawn, you’ll probably want to increase your Catch Combo for their respective types.
In order to do this, simply catch multiple types in a row that match the types you want to catch. For example, if you’re trying to increase your chance of finding a Squirtle, catch a bunch of water types in a row in Squirtles spawn location.
Spawn Locations:
Bulbasaur –Â Viridian Forest near Route 2
Charmander –Â Route 3 and Route 4
Squirtle – Route 25
Alternative Ways to Find Them
If you haven’t had any luck finding Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle, here is an alternate method to find each one:
Bulbasaur – Head to Cerulean City once you’ve caught 30 pokemon. In the building to the left of the Pokemon Center, you’ll find a lady that will give you a Bulbasaur as long as you’ve caught 30 pokemon.
Charmander – Head to Route 24 once you’ve caught 50 pokemon. Go past the Nugget Bridge and look for a guy in a blue shirt with a Charmander standing next to him. He’ll give you a Charmander if you have caught 50 pokemon.
Squirtle – Head Vermillion City once you catch 60 pokemon. To the right of the Pokemon Center you’ll see Officer Jenny, and she will give you a Squirtle if you have caught 60 pokemon.
