Nexus 7: How to Take a Screenshot

September 11, 2012 Posted by DoubleDizle Android

Back in the day, taking a screenshot on most Android devices wasn’t a simple task. You had to use apps and have root access, or install the Android SDK on to your computer and use some built in apps to take a screenshot (which isn’t the easiest task for most people).

However, if you want to take a screenshot on your Google Nexus 7 tablet by Asus, then you’re in luck, because it’s extremely easy.

All you need to do to take a screenshot on the Nexus 7 is hold down the Power and the Volume Down buttons at the same time for about two seconds.

The picture will flash up on the screen and go away, and you’ll see a notification in your notification bar labeled as Screenshot Captured. Click on this, and it will either open up in the Gallery by default, or ask you which app to open it with if you have multiple options installed.

It really couldn’t be any easier than that!
