The dancing emote in League of Legends is both a cosmetic and a taunting measure.
Maybe you’re the fun type that likes to bust out anywhere, or maybe you want to dance a jig in front of your opponent to let them know how trivial this fight is. Either way, there are a couple different ways to do it.
The main way to dance is to type /dance in chat, but this can be time consuming, and can cause you to accidentally use some of your summoner spells.
The more reliable way to dance is to bind the dance command to a hotkey, this way you can bind the command to whatever key combination you like. By default dancing is bound to Ctrl+3, but I personally like to use the original configuration which was Shift+3 to dance.
