Call of Duty – Black Ops: Tips to Complete Hardline Pro Perk Challenges

December 7, 2010 Posted by DoubleDizle PC, PS3, Wii, XBox 360

The Hardline and Hardline Pro perks are some of the most popular perks in Call of Duty: Black Ops for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC. Most of the videos you see online of people getting ridiculous amounts of killstreak rewards are usually using the Hardline or Hardline Pro perks, since they allow you to get a killstreak reward with one less kill than normal.

The Hardline Pro perk adds the ability to change care packages to a different killstreak reward, allowing you to possibly change lower quality packages to better ones. It won’t always be better, you could get an ammo crate after all, but the chance is still there to get something better than you initially received.

You can currently change any dropped package, including Sam Turrets, Care Packages, and Sentry Guns. Personally I love changing Sam Turrets, simply because you only need three kills to receive one, and the odds of you getting something better are very good since they’re so low on the killstreak list. I have been able to change a Sam Turret into high killstreak rewards like Chopper Gunners, Attack Dogs, and Gunships.

This may be patched in the future, but for now I’m going to use it as much as possible.

Don’t forget that you have to purchase the Hardline Pro perk after it’s unlocked for 3,000 credits.

Here are the challenges to unlock the Harline Pro perk, and a few tips to help you complete them:

Killstreak — Get 7 kills without dying in one match

Earning a seven killstreak is fairly self explanatory. If you’re an average player it may take you a little bit of time, but it’s far from impossible. Play team games, and don’t rush out into the open. Camp a high traffic spot if you have to. Be patient and you’ll get it.

Multiple Killstreaks — Earn 7 killstreaks in one match while using Hardline

For this one, simply set your killstreak rewards to a 3, 4, and 5, whichever killstreak rewards you want it doesn’t really matter. Doing this, you’ll earn your 7 killstreaks fairly quickly, since you only need a 4 killstreak to earn your first 3. After you get your first 4 killstreak, die and repeat. After your next 4 killstreak, die again and you just need a 2 killstreak to finish the challenge.

Share Packages — Share 10 Killstreak reward crates with teammates

This one is fairly self explanatory, but can often be the hardest to obtain since packages left out in the open can be taken by the other team. Set your three killstreak rewards to Sam Turret, Care Package, and Sentry Gun. If you’re having a problem getting those, replace Sentry Gun with Spy Plane to help you out a bit. I would suggest doing this one on an objective game like Domination and wait until you have a somewhat comfortable lead, then drop them at a domination point when some teammates are close by. Announce over your mic that you have dropped care packages at the specific domination point, and to please take them. I would suggest guarding them until they’re taken so they don’t end up getting stolen by the other team, and only put out one at a time.
