The Second Chance perk in Call of Duty: Black Ops for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC is a somewhat popular perk because it gives you a few extra seconds before death to get a kill or two with a pistol. You can kill your would be attacker, or anyone else that happens to walk by. This is a perk that seems to tick your enemies off a lot more than most, especially when you are able to kill them after they downed you because they didn’t check to make sure you were dead.
The Second Chance Pro perk upgrade gives you the added benefit of surviving longer, and the ability to be revived by your teammates.
A lot of players call this a “noobish” perk, but honestly, who cares? It’s a legit perk that can give you an edge over the enemy, similar to Ghost camping. Personally, I play to win. People can bitch all they want, there are no unwritten rules to playing this game.
This perk is somewhat glitched, because similar to previous versions of the perk, you do have a split second of invulnerability during the animation of going to the ground where you simply can not be killed. The makers of the game claim that there is no invulnerability,but it has been shown to still exist on a lot of YouTube videos, generally labeled as “Why I hate Second Chance”.
Don’t forget that you need to purchase the Second Chance Pro perk upgrade after it’s unlocked for 3,000 COD points.
Headshot — Get 1 headshot kill while in Second Chance
Self explanatory. Just get a headshot while in Second Chance. This should come in time, just aim up and keep squeezing that trigger.
Kills — Get 10 kills while in Second Chance
Again, self explanatory. This shouldn’t be too difficult, and will come in time.
Revenge — While in Second Chance, kill the enemy who downed you 5 times
This one should come fairly quickly, since the enemy that killed you will usually be fairly close to you. Hopefully they don’t double check that you’re dead, so you can pop them back a few times for the kill.
