The Elder Scrolls V – Skyrim: How to Level Conjuration Quickly

December 1, 2011 Posted by DoubleDizle PC, PS3, XBox 360

In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, there are some tricks to help you level Conjuration a little faster than normal.

For any of these tips, I suggest equipping as much Magicka Regeneration equipment as you can, as well as items that reduce the cost of Conjuration spells. The cheaper and faster you can cast spells obviously, the faster you’ll level up.

Level Conjuration By Killing Summoned Creatures

Simply casting summoned creatures really gets you no skill out of combat, but you do get skill from when your summoned creature dies. An easy way to boost your Conjuration skill at lower levels is by summoning the cheaper creatures like the Familiar, and killing it quickly or banishing it. Having a weapon with the Banish enchant makes this even faster, since it’s essentially a one hit kill.

Level Conjuration With Summons In Combat

Some other options are to summon weapons and creatures while in combat. This is obvious, however there are places in the game where you can be “in combat” but not be in danger, and summon all you want to up your skill faster. There is a caged wolf in Tolvald’s Cave for example that you can cast spells by to get credit for them since the game thinks you’re in comabt. Tolvad’s Cave can be found in the mountains north-east of Shor’s Stone, which is North of Riften.

Level Conjuration With Pickpocketing

If you’re ok using a rather “cheap” method to level Conjuration extremely fast, then simply find a Conjuration skill trainer, buy a skill point, then pickpocket the money back. Falion in Morthal, Runil in Falkreath, and Phinis Gestor in The College of Winterhold are all Conjuration trainers.

This trick is only effective up to 51 skill points unless you have a pickpocketing skill of 100, since after 51 skill points the cost is increased by 1000 gold, making pickpocketing much more difficult.
