Microsoft Getting Rid of Virtual Money System?

January 24, 2012 Posted by DoubleDizle Gaming News

If you’re an Xbox Live user that has ever purchased anything from the Xbox Live marketplace, you know how silly their virtual money system is.

You can only purchase points in multiples of several hundred, yet some items cost 160 points or other random amounts, so you’re left with 20 points or 40 points which never seem to get used. What the heck?

Well, it’s rumored now that Microsoft will finally be getting rid of this point system and replacing it with real money values. Microsoft hasn’t verified this yet, but it’s a good change in my opinion.

In general, most people don’t like this system, and there have also been lawsuits regarding the unspent points sitting out there that never get used.

Supposedly they will start migrating toward this in the next few months. Honestly, I can’t wait, because maybe i’ll get those 20 points back and be able to buy.. well, nothing really because that’s like a 15 cents.

Damn, I just can’t win!
