A few weeks ago we bought a copy of Lego Harry Potter for the Nintendo Wii. The game didn’t have issues for about a week. Suddenly the game started freezing while we played in Free Play mode. The game locked up in random spots for no reason. I cleaned the game disc, the system and even tried it on another Wii. Still the problems remained. A search on Google reveals that others are experiencing the same issues.
I’m having my disc replaced by the retailer. I’ve been told the issue has been spotted in Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game as well. Gamers experiencing the same problems should contact Warner Brothers Support. Be sure to find and keep the receipt to the game if you expect a replacement from the manufacturer. In some cases, the retailer may be able to reprint a receipt for you.

Update: After getting a new disc, the problem persists. The problems seem to occur on all versions of the game, leading me to believe this is a software issue that must be patched by Warner Bros. Games.
