In Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, you don’t drop weapons while they are equipped like in other games.
In order to drop weapons in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you simply open up your inventory and click on the item you want to drop to open the menu. From the menu, there is an option to drop the item.
Items that you drop stay indefinitely, so you can always come back for them later if it’s an area you can reach again.
