In Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, there are mines scattered throughout the game. You can shoot them with pretty much any weapon, including the tranquilizer gun to make them explode, or throw boxes and crates at them for the same effect, but this alarms any nearby guards. So how do you disarm them?
Disarming mines in Human Revolution is a lot different than the last version of Deus Ex, where you had to sprint up to them quickly to disarm them. In Human Revolution, you simply need to crouch and walk up them extremely slowly. Once you are in range, it should prompt you to disarm them mine.
If you examine a mine in your inventory, it actually tells you this as well.
