The new Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is out for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and everyone wants to know if it has split-screen coop like Resident Evil 5 did.
Unfortunately it does not have split-screen coop, it only has online coop.
This is extremely disappointing to me. I was looking forward to another good split-screen coop game, and companies just aren’t making them much any longer. Everything is online now, but most of the people I want to play this type of game with are sitting next to me on my couch.
I have no desire to play a game like this online with random people that I don’t know. It’s bad enough to play Call of Duty with randoms, most of which seem to have their own priorities which usually aren’t the same as yours, but in this type of game it just doesn’t work well for me.
