Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: How to Get 100% Game Completion

May 26, 2011 Posted by DoubleDizle 3DS, DS, PC, PS3, PSP, Wii, XBox 360

In Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, getting 100% game completion requires to to unlock and collect a number of things in the game.

100% game completion requires the following:

  • Earn all 85 gold bricks
  • Purchase all available characters
  • Purchase all available red hats (cheats)

Finding All 85 Gold Bricks

There are four gold bricks per mission, for a total of 80 gold bricks received during missions. You get one for completing the mission, one for getting True Pirate, one for completing the Minikit in freeplay, and one for finding all eight compass items in the mission. The other four gold bricks are found at the Watchtower area in Port Hub when you complete all of the Minikits in a story.

Once you have your 84 gold bricks, go to the town area of Port Hub and assemble the gold pile near the cannons and you’ll build a gate to the bonus mission. Complete the bonus mission to get your final 85th gold brick.

Purchasing Characters

Purchasing characters is simply a matter of finding the character roaming the hub, and purchasing them once you’ve encountered them. Some characters only hang out in specific areas, so keep looking and be patient. This takes some luck, but a LOT of bolts to buy them all. Your best bet is to purchase the Score x2 red hat from the very beginning, which will help you get bolts faster, and help you get True Pirate easily on most missions. After that purchase Score x6 and you’ll soon get all the bolts you could possibly need to purchase characters.

Note that the only character that doesn’t count toward 100% game completion is Dancing Jack Sparrow.

Purchasing Red Hats

Purchasing Red Hats basically just requires a lot of bolts. Like the last strategy, just purchase the Score x2 red hat first, and then the Score x6 as soon as you can after that. You’ll be rolling in bolts in no time.
