**Update** Crashing issues have been fixed in the recent patch. Make sure to run the patch if you’re having any kind of problems with the game crashing.
When I first started playing The Sims Medieval, I would create my Monarch for my new Kingdom and I would get up to the point when I would actually start playing, and the game would crash with a “blue screen of death” after just a few minutes.
I did some searching on the net, and ended up finding a lot of posts about the Enable Reflections option in the graphics. I started thinking, and sure enough, I was near a mirror every time it crashed because there is a mirror in the room I started out in.
If you’re having this issue, try to turn off the Enable Reflections option.
Click on the little (…) button in the bottom left corner to bring up options, and you’ll see the checkbox for Enable Reflections. Mine was turned on by default.
If your game keeps crashing at different points, check out my other article which is about the game crashing when placing buildings.
