There are a lot of characters to unlock in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Switch.
We already covered the different ways you can unlock all of the characters in the game, but if you’re looking for the method that is truly the quickest, this is what you want to do:
Unlocking Characters Fast in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Play Smash mode for about ten minutes in order to bring up a challenger battle.
- Beat the challenger to unlock them
- Exit the game back to the Home screen and start the game again.
- Play Smash mode with a second controller plugged in and change the ruleset to 1 Stock.
- Move the second character off the map to win the match.
- A new challenger should appear, defeat them to unlock them and repeat from number 3.
Unlocking characters by playing Classic Mode is also pretty fast, at around six minutes per match, however this method will ultimately be faster.
Don’t forget that no other mode unlocks characters for use in World of Light.
