Yesterday I tried to launch Sims 3 and it just wouldn’t start. The screen would flash and just kick back to the desktop.
The problem turned out to be my video drivers. I had updated the NVIDIA GeoForce 9600 drivers to version 191.07. It looks like Sims 3 is incompatible with these drivers. I had to perform these steps:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. Open Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click NVIDIA Drivers.
4. Click Remove.
5. Restart the computer.
6. Download and install older NVIDIA Drivers.
The Sims 3 started working with these drivers installed. Happy days!
