Sims 2 for Windows PC was running slow on my computer. It usually gets that way after I’ve bought a bunch of items. There are just too many items on the screen for it to handle.
There is a command that helped me with this problem. I did the following steps:
1. While in the game playing, press CTRL + Shift + C.
2. Type vsync off and press Enter.
The screen will then go blank for a bit. I thought that things would change after the screen came back, but it didn’t. However, when I saved and closed the game, then opened the game again, things were much speedier. The graphics look a bit stranger, but I don’t care. It’s fast!
If you want to undo this change, just use vsync on instead.
