In Saints Row: The Third (aka Saints Row 3) for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, Trailblazing missions were really ticking me off at first. I thought.. did they really make these things frickin impossible to complete or what?
I didn’t really understand how the bonus time worked, and they don’t explain much when you start.
Well, it took me a little while, but I’ve figured them out and now they’re pretty easy.
1) You don’t get most of your bonus time until you reach the next checkpoint. At first I thought the game was broken, because I kept seeing all of this bonus time, but my clock stayed the same, until I realized that it was being added at the checkpoints.
2) You get a LOT more points from mowing down people than blowing up cars. I can’t count how many times I tried races before realizing this. Once I started aiming for people, these missions almost became too easy.
3) Those little fire spots on the ground aren’t just for decoration, they have a purpose. Run them over and they’ll usually blow something up for bonus time on the clock.
