To me, five finger fillet is one of the best ways to make some really easy money in Red Dead Redemption for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Five Finger Fillet has four patterns, with the final pattern staying the same from $25 up to $100 bets. You’ll have to make it through the easy guys before you can make large bets though. If you start out betting $5 then you’ll skip the first pattern completely.
Once you get the pattern down, it’s extremely simple. Betting $100 each round, you can make a hundred bucks in just a few seconds by skipping all of the cut scenes. Don’t forget that you’re timed, so do it as fast as you can.
Xbox 360 Five Finger Fillet Patterns:
Pattern 1 ($1 to $4 bets) – A repeatedly
Pattern 2 ($5 to $9 bets) – A, B, A, B, A, B, A, B, A, B (repeat)
Pattern 3 ($10 to $24 bets) – A, B, A, Y, A, B, A, Y, A, B (repeat)
Pattern 4 ($25 to $100 bets) – A, B, A, Y, A, X, A, B, A, Y (repeat)
PS3 Five Finger Fillet Patterns:
Pattern 1 ($1 to $4 bets) – X repeatedly
Pattern 2 ($5 to $9 bets) – X, Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle (repeat)
Pattern 3 ($10 to $24 bets) – X, Circle, X, Triangle, X, Circle, X, Triangle, X, Circle (repeat)
Pattern 4 ($25 to $100 bets) – X, Circle, X, Triangle, X, Square, X, Circle, X, Triangle (repeat)
The patterns repeat multiple times, and always ends with the first button pressed so don’t forget that part.
One tip that helped me is to not look at the screen once you start. Once I see the first button light up on the screen, I look at the buttons on the controller and just go through the pattern. Using this method, you’ll most likely win every single match, pocketing a hundred bucks every time.
