In Halo: Reach for the Xbox 360, the Elite armor is unlocked while you’re ranking up as well, but you don’t have the customizable options that you have with the Spartans. I have to admit though, some of them look very nice, so I don’t think we’ll miss the customization that much.
Here are the ranks necessary to unlock the Elite armor:
Elite Minor – Unlocked by default
Spec Ops – Unlocked at Corporal rank (10k cR)
Ranger – Unlocked at Sergeant rank (20k cR)
Ultra – Unlocked at Warrant Officer rank (45k cR)
Zealot – Unlocked at Captain rank (210k cR)
General – Unlocked at Major rank(325k cR)
Field Marshall – Unlocked at Lt. Colonel rank (450k cR)
Officer – Unlocked if you preordered the game
