In Gears of War 3 for the Xbox 360, you can unlock the Silverback mechanical suit to blast through your enemies while playing in Horde 2.0.
To unlock the Silverback, you need to reach level 7 on barriers, which takes about $170,000 total money spent on upgrading and repairing barriers in Horde matches.
If you’re having problems racking up enough money in the online modes, set your match to Private and play solo on the first ten waves. Overpass is probably the best map to practice on, especially on solo since you can bottleneck the enemies into the center stair area.
Build a lot of barriers, and just let the enemy destroy them, then keep repairing and rebuilding them after every wave. You’ll be surprised how much money you can spend on barriers doing this.
