Destiny – How to Level Up Fast

Destiny – How to Level Up Fast

September 28, 2014 Posted by DoubleDizle PS3, PS4, XBox 360, Xbox One

In Destiny, there are a lot of different things you can do to level up, but some are always more efficient than others.

If you want to reach level 20 quickly, it’s best to make a game plan and stick to what you enjoy and what you’re best at.

Leveling Up With Vanguard vs. Crucible

Leveling up with a faction is basically just personal preference.

Do you enjoy destroying hoards of aliens in PVE? Stick to Vanguard and do patrols, strikes, and raids.

Do you get your kicks from destroying other guardians in PVP? Stick to to Crucible and play as many matches as you can.

Obviously you’re free to switch back and forth as you please, and if you’re good at both and enjoy them equally then great, but it’s typically best to focus on one as your “primary” and farm them on repeat .

Complete Bounties for Faster Leveling

You access bounties from Xander 99-40 in the Tower, and his list of bounties updates every 24 hours.

Bounties provide a lot of XP for completing certain objectives, like completing a certain number of match types in Crucible, or killing a number of enemies without dying on a patrol, raid, or strike for Vanguard.

No matter what you’re doing, you should ALWAYS be working on bounties, until you complete them all.

Join a Clan

No matter what you’re doing in Destiny, it’s probably easier to do with other guardians.

Joining a Clan can give you easy access to other players trying to level up quickly as well, and give you added organization in whatever you’re up against.

If you’re having a hard time finding a clan you like, don’t be afraid to look up clan sites on Google, or check sites like Clans of Destiny for lists of clans that you can apply to.

If you’re looking at clans on the internet, make sure to check which console they’re located on first.

Complete Weeklies and Dailies

There are special missions that come up daily and weekly that you can complete for bonus XP compared to standard missions.

Even if you prefer PVP in Crucible, it’s a good idea to complete as many of the weekly and daily missions as you can to get that extra XP.
