Dead Rising 2: How to Tame Snowflake the Tiger for “Skill to Survive” Achievement/Trophy

October 21, 2010 Posted by DoubleDizle PC, PS3, XBox 360

In Dead Rising 2 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, you can tame Snowflake the Tiger to make him become a Survivor that you can lead to the safe house, and give to Katey as one of her gifts.

Snowflake is accompanied by the psychopath Ted in the Yucatan Casino on day one. The fight will start the first time you enter the casino. If you want to make taming Snowflake a bit easier, go grab four steaks from Wild West Grill House in the Food Court (F101) and bring them with you to the fight.

To tame Snowflake, you need to give him three to four steaks, but this must be done after you defeat the psychopath Ted. Once you defeat Ted, Snowflake will still be attacking you. If you didn’t bring steaks with you to the fight, there should be plenty scattered around in his glass cage.

Try to throw or drop the steaks in front of him when he’s looking at you before he charges. If you’re having trouble with this, try to drop the steak in front of a large object and hide behind the object until he eats it. Once he is satisfied, it will go to a cutscene and Snowflake will turn into a Survivor that you can lead to the safe house.

Note that you can miss Snowflake if you wait until after day one, so make sure to visit Yucatan Casino early if you want to tame him.
