In the facebook game Castle Age, you can gain quite a bit of in game bonuses from Favor Points. Some will come freely, but lets face it.. they only give you some free ones to entice you into purchasing them later.
I’m sure you’ve seen that you can purchase favor points at a rate of $20 for 120 which is 6 points per dollar. But have you ever tried out the other offers? I’ll admit, some of them are fairly bogus, but every now and then you’ll find one that’s a much better ratio than 6 points per dollar.
For example, here’s a screen shot of one I found recently. It was a web hosting company and it was listed as $7.95 for 281 favor points. The details said the minimum requirements were to sign up for a minimum of $7.95 per month. Upon clicking on it, I saw that the primary option was for a year of prepaid web hosting at $7.95 a month ($95.40 up front) or I could opt for monthly at $11.95 a month. The requirements said nothing about a minimum term, so I signed up for the latter option which will be canceled and got my 281 favor points, which equaled out to be roughly 23.5 points per dollar.
The point here is, dig around and read the fine print. You can get much better deals than 6 points per dollar. Make sure above all else that you read the minimum requirements though. Also, look for things you were planning to sign up for anyway, like Satellite TV, Netflix, Movie Clubs, etc.
There are free offers as well, so if you’re not into spending cash and would rather spend some time instead, these options might be for you. Most of these are surveys or giving out your personal information to get email offers, etc. I would suggest signing up for a junk email address if you don’t already have one, and sign up for these using that address. You won’t get a whole lot of favor points at once this way, but spending a little time can make them add up.
I know there are a lot of scams on facebook for free favor points, but i’ve personally used this one and it’s legit. It’s only 20 points, but free is free right? It’s a one time deal, so use it and pass it along to your friends.
