It wouldn’t be Assassin’s Creed without unlockable outfits, so naturally Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has plenty of costumes for you to unlock.
Some are hidden, waiting for you to unlock by solving puzzles and completing quests, others are ready for you to purchase from stores, or waiting to be crafted from the right animal pelts.
It’s all about options.. I like having options.
So without taking any more of your time, here are all of the unlockable outfits you can collect in the game, and how to get them.
General Store Outfits
Brown Cloak – Costs 1,500 R
Crimson Cloak – Costs 3,000 R
Merchant – Costs 10,000 R
Pirate Captain – Costs 8,000 R
Pirate Cloak – Costs 6,000 R
Politician – Costs 12,000 R
Privateer – Costs 5,000 R
Crafted Outfits
Feline Pelt – Crafted with a Jaguar Pelt and Ocelot Pelt
Hunter – Crafted with a Red Howler Monkey Skin and White Jaguar Pelt (reduces animal aggression)
Shark Hunter – Crafted with a Bull Shark Skin and Hammerhead Shark Bone
Whaler – Crafted with three White Whale Skins
Unlockable Outfits
Explorer – Complete Community Challenge #6 (community challenges appear randomly when playing online)
Governor – Find and share a social chest (social chests appear randomly when playing online)
Mayan – Solve all 16 Mayan Stela puzzles to unlock the secret door in Tulum (coordinates: 70, 405)
Officer – Complete the “Great Reputation 1” trading mission to Gibraltar with Kenway’s Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea
Stealth – Complete 50% of the Assassin Contract side quests (improves stealth when worn)
Templar Armor – Complete all Templar Hunt side quests, then open the cage in the Great Inagua hideout using the five Templar keys collected (25% damage reduction when worn)
Classic Outfits
Altair’s Robes – Have a saved game from the original Assassin’s Creed, and an internet connection
Connor Kenway – Have a saved game from Assassin’s Creed 3, and an internet connection
Ezio Auditore’s Robes – Have a saved game from Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, or Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and an internet connection
**Note – For those of you crossing over to PS4. Xbox One, or Wii-U, you should still be able to get these costumes if you login to your Uplay account that you used when you played them. Thanks to GameSpawn on N4G for letting me know about this.
