In Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS, you can reflect back shots in the air in Solo mode.
To reflect an enemy attack in the air, you need to perform a dodge move when the enemies shot is being fired at you. To dodge, simply press one direction and then quickly press the opposite direction.
