The Tactical Mask perk in Call of Duty: Black Ops for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC is kind of a situational perk that can be handy if you’re getting caught in a lot of Nova Gas.
In my opinion, Tactical Mask Pro is much better, since it reduces the effects of Flash and Concussion Grenades, plus it reveals the position of flashed or stunned enemies, making it easier to kill them.
Don’t forget that you need to purchase the Tactical Mask Pro perk upgrade after it’s unlocked for 3,000 COD points.
Here is the list of Tactical Mask Pro perk challenges, and some tips to help you complete them:
Flash Kills — Kill 20 enemies that are blinded by your Flashbang.
Fairly straight forward. Equip some Flashbangs and get some kills on enemies you’ve flashed. I would suggest using the Scavenger Pro perk with it so you can pick up more tactical grenades. Warlord Pro will help as well if you have it unlocked since you’ll start with more tactical grenades. Make sure to throw it around corners, or to look away so you don’t get caught in your own flash.
Concussion Kills — Kill 20 enemies that are stunned by your Concussion Grenade.
Pretty much the same strategy as above. Easy to do in objective games when the other team is grouped up at a domination or HQ spot, since you can get several at once.
Nova Gas Kills — Kill 20 enemies poisoned by your Nova Gas
Once again, mostly the same strategy, but a little tougher since the gas will block your line of sight. Chuck a Nova Gas grenade at a domination spot that you know has some enemies, and start firing your gun, or throw a lethal grenade in there and watch them explode.
