As in several other Resident Evil games, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has a coveted Infinite Ammo item. After all, who doesn’t love unlimited ammo, am I right?
Unlocking Infinite Ammo is no easy feat however, and will likely be the very last thing you unlock in the game (besides some achievements of course.)
In order to unlock Infinite Ammo, you simply need to beat Madhouse Mode. I say simply in jest, because it will not be simple, and you’ll probably want to unlock some other goodies in the game to make things a bit easier.
Madhouse Mode changes quite a bit about the game. Health does not regenerate, enemies are more abundant and in different places than normal, you have to manually save and auto-saves are almost completely removed (only major checkpoints.) Basically, it’s brutal, and you’re going to want some help.
Unlockables that will help you beat Madhouse Mode and unlock Infinite Ammo
While I’m sure it can be done without them, unlocking these items before you attempt Madhouse Mode will help tremendously. I suppose if you really hate yourself (or if you’re a fan of the Dark Souls series) you can try to complete the most difficult mode in the game without them, but I wouldn’t suggest it.
