In The Sims 4, the life of your sim can get a lot easier if they have more money available to them.
The more money that you have available for your sims, the better items you can put in their house, which means you don’t have to sleep as long, you don’t have to shower as long, you have more fun on your computers.. which gives you more time to do the important stuff.
I know that it’s really quick and easy to use money cheats in this game, but that kind of ruins the game and takes away from the fun in my opinion.
If you want to have lasting fun in this game, you’ve got to earn your simoleons the hard way. Well, technically I’ll show you how to earn money the easiest way possible (as far as I know).
1. Painting
Painting is a huge cash cow. I’m not talking about the painting career either, I’m talking about creating paintings on an easel with your sims.
When you finish a painting, you can opt to sell it to a collector for a little bit of money at first. Typically at first, it’s not much more (or sometimes less) than what it cost to paint it. But as your sim gets better, so too does the profit.
For example, my level 10 painting sim can crank out a painting in a few hours that nets me an average of $500 profit for every painting.
Not only that, but he also has a chance to create a masterpiece, which can net $1500 or more. Sure, the Astronaut career path can make $2k a day, but my painter never has to leave the house, and sets his own hours. If I ever purchase the ability that negates the sleep requirement, he’ll literally be a painting factory.
2. Writing
Writing is another nice cash cow, but it works a little differently.
Instead of simply selling your work like you do in painting, you kind of license out your work for residual income.
The better you get at writing, the more money you’ll make from your work on a daily basis.
My writer is currently at level 6 in writing, and making about $400 a day even if she sleeps all day. The more she writes, the more money will add up.
Honestly I think writing will be in the number one spot soon once she’s maxed out in the skill, because I will get her to a point where she’ll never have to do anything again.
3. Add More Sims
The math here is simple. More sims = more money!
This is especially true if you have all of your sims painting, writing, or in other high paying career paths like Astronaut or Criminal.
It does take a bit more time to manage them the more you have, and the number I tend to stay at is three. Once you hit four it starts to get a bit hairy, but still manageable.
If you do add more sims, you’ll definitely want to add a few more computers and easels, but it’s a worthy investment.
