In Sims 3 for Windows PC, there is a cheat code that enables you to drag the motive meters to increase or decrease them. Here’s how.
1. Hold down CTRL and Shift while pressing C to bring up the console window.
2. Type testingCheatsEnabled true and press Enter.
Now you can control the needs as you wish by dragging them lower or higher.

I had the same problem as many of you, I couldn’t, for the life of me, get the “dragging motives” cheat to work! It took me quite a while to figure it out, but I finally realized that your game has CANNOT be paused when you are doing this. You also have to have your needs set to dynamic, not static.
The same applies if you are doing the cheat where you hold shift, click on the mailbox, and click “make happy”.

I tried it and it said unable to find. I think that means IT DOESNT WORK!!!!!

I tried it and it didn’t work for me. Is there some extra thing like having to go on edit town and then back to play mode?
So, I’ve tried this cheat & had no problem with it helping me move the motive meters- but, it wouldn’t successfully kill my sim!
