In Mortal Kombat (aka Mortal Kombat 9, 2011 version), Kratos makes an appearance as a playable character in the PS3 version of the game.
If you have the Xbox 360 version, then sorry but you’re out of luck. Not only do we not get Kratos for the Xbox 360, there is no other exclusive character at all for the Xbox 360.

Guys this is simple…Kratos doesn’t appear in the Xbox version cause Well Kratos was created by SONY!!! Sony made the PS’s!! So Kratos can appear in the Ps3 but not the Xbox!! The Xbox isn’t Sony but it’s MICROSOFT!! U gotta think.. That’s y GOW is written ”only on the Playstation”…

Microsoft are wallet rapists and your just another statistic, your their latest victim. Microsoft charge you for things that you should have for free. They gave you the 360 but forgot to include a hdmi port which is compulsory for HD gaming, they realised they messed up so they brought out a newer 360 with the port that the first generation 360 should have had but still left out built in wifi so they could make money of the wifi adapters. Then they brought out 360 elite and the 360 slim months later to make more money of you all whilst still only giving you features you should have had from day one. I’m here to help you! I don’t see how you can say 360 is better than PS3 because xbox live costs money and PSN is free. At the end of the day what do the spike VGA awards say about the 360 and what do they say about the PS3 based on the games for those systems. You might want to fasten your seat belt for this. Statistics and facts should defend xbox and playstation. I think PS3 kicks the 360′s arse because of the amount of times Playstation exclusives have won spike VGA awards for best graphics e.g Metal Gear 4, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, God of war 3. (3 years in a row) An xbox exclusive has never won an award for best graphics at the VGA awards in fact last year’s best Xbox game wasn’t even an xbox exclusive it was Arkham City but last years best PS3 game was Uncharted 3. PS3 exclusive “Flower” won the VGA award for best independent game back in 2009. How many 360 exclusives have won that award? I rest my case.

You use “stats and facts” and claim not to be a fanboy, but lets be real, you’re using one stat to define PS3 as the clear winner. I see them as about equal when it comes to stats and I see the console war as dead, but sales stats are the hardest to deny. Sure PS3 might have a little better graphics, but I’ve heard more issues from PS3 users than any Xbox 360 users when it comes to bugs and issues with games that are on both consoles, coupled with the major security breach that happened on PSN, vs. the Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360 which was the only real issue it’s had.
Sure PSN is free, but you get what you pay for sometimes. Personally I don’t mind paying for my Xbox Live account, because to me it means someone behind the scenes is being paid to make sure there’s quality and security.
Can we please just put the console war to rest? It’s more personal preference these days than anything.

Kratos kicked Hades arse and the ferry man who takes souls to the under world and has escaped hell countless times. He’s practically immortal. Kratos kills creatures(Titans) the size of countries and he has supernatural powers. Even Raiden the god of the mortal Kombat universe bowed to Kratos. Do you mean they/he IS currently a DLC character? And what console are you referring to? Sorry I have to ask, I have heard so many different ways to “unlock” Goro for 360 and so many people saying it simply can not be done. I also wondered because I know for a fact that no extra characters other than Freddy, Rain, Skarlette, and Kenshi appear for download on my Xbox. So please verify very specifically for me?

If he/she has them, which he/she probably doesn’t, then it’s a hack of some sort. Goro/Kintaro is not a DLC character for purchase. Currently you can purchase Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, and Freddy on all platforms, or purchase the Season Pass for a better deal.

I’m not on the PS3 version, but from what I hear you don’t have to unlock him. He’s only available in limited modes though, like versus and arcade? Someone please verify.

I wrote this guide for people looking for how to unlock him on the 360, because you can’t. You don’t unlock him on the PS3 either (assuming that’s the version you’re playing), he’s only available on limited modes, like versus, etc. Please don’t leave “useless” comments as you say, when you don’t have the facts straight yourself.
