In Mortal Kombat (aka Mortal Kombat 9, 2011 version) for the PS3 and Xbox 360, each character has multiple fatalities that they can perform if you win the match with them.
Below is the list of Scorpion’s Fatalities, and how to perform them. These can be unlocked and added to your moves list by performing them in either Arcade Mode or Versus Mode, but only the second Fatality can be unlocked during the Fatality Tutorial.

Xbox 360
Nether Gates – Back, Forward, Back, A when touching your opponent
Split Descision – Forward, Down, Forward, Y when touching your opponent
Toasty! – Down, Up, Up, Y in jumping distance (requires Scorpion’s Classic costume from DLC to have access to this move)
Babality – Down, Back, Forward, Down, Y in jumping distance
Stage Fatality – Forward, Up, Up, X at close range
PS3
Nether Gates – Back, Forward, Back, X when touching your opponent
Split Descision – Forward, Down, Forward, Triangle when touching your opponent
Toasty! – Down, Up, Up, Triangle in jumping distance (requires Scorpion’s Classic costume from DLC to have access to this move)

You have to not block at all during the last round. Just the last round.

I assure you that it works. Make sure your distance is correct, and make sure to release R2 before you hit the final button.

Yes you can hold R2 during the directions, just not while pressing Square. Holding R2 will keep you from jumping.

You have to hold block while entering the directional commands. then let go to press the last button… blocking prevents you from moving and jumping

About 1/2 to 2/3 of the screen away. Jump back, and then take a step or two extra and that seems to be about right.

you have to first select the classic costume in order to do the fatality. you must be wearing the costume

the fatality is down up up Y with in jumping range for the xbox 360 but u have to be in the right spot to do it i dont know what it is for the playstation

guys all you have to do is go to the fatality tutorial and right when you start press down,up,up,wait till you touch the ground then y(trianle with ps3)

That can’t be why. Because i redeemed my code the @ 1:08 Am the day of the Midnight release & i didn’t recieve the fatality either. Must be some other pre-requisite to get it like unlocking in the Krypt or something?

Have you guys tried it first with the costume on? Unfortunately I don’t have the costume so I can’t try myself. Also, it’s jumping distance, so make sure you’re far away, like 1/2 to 2/3 of the screen away similar to babalities. So far with other moves, they just need to be performed in order to unlock them so there shouldn’t be any other prereq. Please post comments on your results.

I have the classic costume but I can’t do the fatality? I think the network went down when I was downloading the code.
